I went to Gorakhgad Fort Trek on 12 August 2018. I met with my trekking team at Kalyan station at 7 AM in the morning. There was 4 people in the team. From Kalyan we have caught bus for Murbad City. This was monsoon season so there was little rain. We were very excited for Gorakhgad Fort Trek. This was Sunday and early morning so there was not lot of rush in the Bus. We found place in the bus easily. Bus started its journey towards destination.

Gorakhgad Fort 

Once you reach Murbad City you will easily see Gorakhgad and Machchhindragad Fort. Height of Gorakhgad  Fort is 2137 Feet. Height of Machchhindragad fort is 1500 feet. Gorakhgad Fort is one of most difficult fort in Maharashtra. You will get 90 degree straight climbing when ascending the fort. Once you reach at the top of fort you will get big cave and water cistern. One thing that attracts all trekkers is stay in caves of Gorakhgad Fort.

 You can not  get such pleasure not only in Maharashtra but also other parts of India. If you want to stay in caves of Gorakhgad fort then you have to carry lot of food and water with you.If you want to go to Gorakhgad Fort then you have to reach Narivalis via Murbad. From Narivalis you have to take S.T to reach the base village of Gorakhgad Fort. From base village of Gorakhgad you will get small footpath to reach Gorakhgad Fort.
